Personal Statement

To say basketball is intertwined in my life is an understatement.  My grandfather (paternal), grandmother (paternal), and father played basketball. Basketball has meant so many things to me from the moment I started playing.  Basketball has helped me through some good and bad times.  Basketball has helped me when I lost my great grandmother (maternal).  When she died, basketball was there to comfort me.  Basketball is another way for me to express myself.  Being on the court I can display my leadership, knowledge of the game, and also being able to slow the tempo down.   Duke University is my collegiate bar to acheive, however, I'm open to a championship caliber school with a solid and clean program.  And I'm currently holding a 2.85 GPA as a rising senior.  My passion and love for the game is unique.  I want to complete the path that has been laid for me through my grandfather and father, therefore, welcome to the journey to the league featuring Cameron Mcgee.

Great approach to the game! Coach's Comments This young man brings what I call the intangibles. You can't teach someone to have an edge and a competitive nature. He is a true floor general and defensive leader. He does have to gain the approval of anyone to step up and be a leader on defense. He is quick, competitive, and a lockdown defender. I can definitely see him as a captain and leader on the next level. Not all games are going to be home games, and not all games will not be blowouts. On the next level there will be many games that are tight and rowdy. A coach plays the people that they have confidence and will not be rattled. The fire that you have is excellent, but you have to learn how to channel it, and be resistant to pressure. There is nothing more deadly than having combo guards, and not just a specific point guard, and shooting guard. In order for this to happen both guards have to be able to handle the ball. This helps coaches when we are drawing up pressure breakers. Being able to handle the ball adds to your value. As a dynamic defender, the game can get very physical. You won't to be able to take bumps and physicality of the game if your body is not physically strong enough.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
