To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Calen Amos, you have probably never heard of me, as during my sophomore year I was hampered by tendonitis in my left knee, my orthopaedic Dr. said due to very quick growth that my tendons had not caught up with bone growth. My junior year I fell during a dunk just before basketball season started. I thought it was just a bad sprain which turned out to be a fractured scaphoid bone as well as a dislocation. I played the entire season with a fractured and dislocated wrist, my shooting was off as I had no range of motion in my wrist. I discovered in February 2019 my wrist was fractured and would require surgery. I played AAU ball and started on Rickey Taylor Elite team until I had surgery to place four pins and a bone graft to repair my wrist on April 26, 2019. During the time I had no wrist motion I had to learn to shoot left handed. I shot 80% from the free throw line left handed and can shoot just as good left from the field as I ever could right handed. In physical therapy now (July 2019) and have had pins removed. I am going to play in Ricky Taylors D league this fall before high school season starts. I will post video as I get back to 100%. I look forward to hearing from coaches as I want to attend college and study physical education and kinesiology in hopes of becoming a high school coach someday. I am a hard worker and before wrist injury was benching 320 lbs max and 220 lbs for 20 reps.
