I would my greatest high-school accomplishment to date came as I was named as a starter as a sophomore, along with 4 seniors. I am a player who works hard, not just on the court, but also in the class room.
I am the type of player who will guard the other teams best player, work hard on both offensive and defensive rebounding and do whatever it takes to make my team a success. I have a strong in the paint presence, but can also step out and hit a mid range jumper shot. I am 6'7 with a 6'6" wing spam and I have been told by doctors that I am still growing. I am working on getting strong both upper and lower body.
I am also a starter on a high level AAU team that competes and wins a lot of tournaments. I know the team aspect and welcome it. I have also suffered personal tragedy with the loss of my step-father, uncle and grandfather in the last year and have found solice and comfort on the basketball court and the support of my basketball family.
I excel at academics also as I carry a 3.0 cumulative GPA and will make sure that I am a student athlete and program would be proud to have.
I was voted the team leadership award winner for my team as the only sophomore on a team loaded with juniors and seniors. I also won't the most Improved and lead the team in field goal % at over 60%, and was 2nd on the team in rebounding at over 7 a game.
My Junior season has been a struggle from team stand point as we are a young inexperienced team, but as the only returning varsity player I have taken on and embraced the leadership and teaching role. I am averaging 15.6 pts 9.9 rebounds while shooting 54% from the field. I am doing this while being double and triple teamed each and every game against high D1 competition. I am looking to further my education and basketball skills at a highly competitive college, that will leave me with lasting memories. I was voted 1st team all conference, 1st team all county, team leader in points, rebounds, fg% and minutes played leading to team voted MVP
I am a player who works hard both on the court and classroom, I have a deep faith in God and if you recruit me and bring me into your program I will promise that I will always represent the school with the utmost integrity and class.
