Hello, my name is Chandler Moore. At this time I am attending North High School in Evansville, IN. I will be graduating in the class of 2021. I live with my parents, Johnny and Jamey Moore. The two most important things to me are my family, and of course basketball.
I believe I am a good candidate for the team because not only do I work hard on the court, I work hard off the court. I have a 3.2GPA, and help out with basketball camps whenever my coach ask me too. I am also a student volunteer who helped with a clothing donation for kids who can not afford them. As well, I help with special olympics, which is a program where special needs children get to play basketball during halftime at a high school game. I believe what separates me from other recruits is hands down my work ethic. I began playing school ball in the fifth grade. I played freshmen ball most of my basketball season, and moved up to JV at the end. I averaged 15 points per game and 5 assists. My sophomore year I was a Varsity starter and averaged 10 points a game.
My current travel team is Pocket City, in Evansville, Indiana. I have played 8 games so far this year and I am averaging 18 points, 7 assist, 2 blocks and 2 steals.
I have a good attitude, and I believe that I can be coached by any coach. My overall dream for basketball is of course to go to the NBA. But, as a short term goal for now I want to go to any college where I will get a full scholarship. I also am a diverse guard as I can shoot and get to the basket. I am 6'4 and 155, so I do need to gain more weight. Yet, overall I am a great guard for any team, and can play anywhere in the country.
Thank you for giving me the chance to share my personal statement. I hope you keep me on the radar for your future team.
Thanks,
Chandler Moore
