Spring 2018: What a season! The night before the first game, I was in the ER with intense abdominal pain. By 5 am and no clear diagnosis I went to school. That evening I started and played most of the first game of the my senior season. It was a great game/win against a conference rival. However, the pain had not subsided so I returned to the hospital after school the next day. My appendix had burst and emergency surgery was scheduled that Wednesday night. However, I was on the bench that Friday night cheering on my team. I pushed myself to return to the team as soon as I could but event then it took several games until I felt I was at full strength and I did not feel I was in the best shape to showcase my skills and abilities to college recruiters/coaches. Hopefully, my season highlight video provides a glimpse into what I can contribute to your program.
Fall 2017: As long as I can remember, basketball and baseball have been a major part of my life. Every summer was a challenge as I balanced practicing and playing both sports. I've always felt more pressure by my parents to play baseball. Due to this, I played travel baseball this past summer and did not play AAU.
After setting the basketball down in March, I quickly realized that no matter what, when I'm either practicing or playing basketball, I thoroughly enjoy it more. However, I had made a commitment to my baseball team, and therefore, I finished the summer season.
Following the final tournament, I met with my parents, coaches, and trainer and told them of my desire to play basketball at the next level while attending a high academic level university.
