Jake LaRavia '19 Recruiting Profile

My dream has always been to play college basketball, and then make it into the NBA. I work hard every day to help make that happen. My freshman and sophomore I started Junior Varsity and sophomore year we had an outstanding season of 19-1. I am now a junior attending Lawrence Central High School and I play Varsity basketball. 

My dream has always been to attend a D1 college on a full ride. This past AAU season several college coaches came to watch our games in and out of state, and I always showed my athletic ability. I have a very strong work ethic and try to get to the gym whenever I can whether it is working on shooting, dribbling, or vertical.

I am a triple threat on the court because I am a 6 foot 6 shooting guard that can also play the big man position. If I am left open the shot will go in, and if the defender steps up the next time, I drive right by him. My height and shooting ability makes me a good candidate for a college team. Also what makes me stand out are my grades and GPA in school. I currently have a 4.2 GPA and take several AP classes which not only shows that I am an athlete, but a student athlete.
