I have been playing basketball since 7th grade, so I was a very late starter to the game. This has made me have to work that much harder in order to catch up to the other kids in my age group. This hard work has become a habit that I am incapable of breaking. I am the hardest worker in any room, on and off the court. I will go above and beyond what is requested or expected of me, in order to do whatever I can to help the team be successful. I have a 3.4 cumulative GPA and had a 3.83 grade point average in my first year as a Junior at La Lumiere high school in Indiana.
Playing basketball at La Lumiere has given me a preview of what it will be like playing and living at college. Because it is a boarding school, I live in a dorm with four other players on the team and 11 other students. Living on my own without parents has made me become much more independent than I would have been going to a traditional high school. Having a multi-state travel schedule and keeping my academics strong at the same time has prepared me for what it will be like at the collegiate level.
