I am a sophmore, from a small town called Loogootee. We are a 1a school, and the competition is not up there like some schools. So I joined a local travel ball team called HBA (Hoosier Basketball Academy). It was a great opportunity for me to get a feel of the game even better. We played in different states and also played in local tournaments. Playing travel ball gives me a good idea of what to expect in the near future. For a small town, we are fortunate to of had a great team. In 2012, our highschool team went to state. We ended up winning. That was our first time winning state. Ever since that grade year has left, the team started going down hill. We can never seem to make it out of sectional or regional. My goal for this team is to be the best team leader that I can be hopefully set a good example for younger athletes to come, but also to help get my team a state championship!
