I'm a 6'7" Small Forward in a small 4A High School. This summer I started on a Senior-to-be AAU basketball team. I was a leader on the team in scoring, blocks and rebounds. I hope with my off season workouts and preparing myself mentally, I will be a valuable asset for my High School Varsity basketball program.
This fall I played Varsity football. I started at Varsity receiver and safety, playing both sides of the ball. I was privileged to receive honors of Unity Council, Team Captain, 1st Team All Conference, Prep of the Year All Area, WANE TV Fab 15, and IFCA All-State. Last year I was honored by being named on the Unity Council, Team Captain, 1st Team All Conference and Junior All-State.
High school basketball season has started directly after football and I am proud to say that I have earned my Varsity starting position. I averaged 14.7 points per game, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1.3 blocks per game and currently hold 3-pt percentage record at.500 for a season, in my Junior Season and hope to improve on those in my Senior year. I know that being part of a team is important and want to support our team in all areas on and off the court. I have been honored in being named on the Prep Hoops of Indiana Top 100 Seniors and last year as a Junior. Also I was honored at receiving recognition by being named on First Team NHC Conference and All-Area squad my Junior year.
During my Junior year Spring I participated in track for the first time. I was on the Varsity squad running in the 4 x 100, 200 & 4 x 400. I was priveleged to run at State in 2 events the 200 and the 4 x 400 relays and received 1st Team All Conference, 2nd Team All Conference, Honorable Mention All Conference and 1st Team All Area.
I realize that sports are a privilege and you earn playing them with good grades and dedication to the sport. My goal is to keep my grade point average at 8.0/12.0 or higher. With these goals in mind, and with hard work, I hope to realize my dream of playing basketball for a college program.
