Jonah Lucas '22 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to be a college student athlete.  

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of playing college basketball. My dad played at the University of Indianapolis before playing professionally overseas. Between that and growing up in Indiana, you could say basketball is in my blood. Since my Freshman year I’ve had to fulfill different roles for the Varsity team.  I’m continuing to evolve into a complete player and feel confident in my abilities. I believe I can be an integral part of a college program that fits me best.  What separates me from others is that I compete on BOTH sides of the floor at a high level. I am both a vocal leader and by example. I love lifting up my teammates as well as holding myself accountable to the highest level. I am a versatile player that can blend into any system I am put into and will create value for my team. I can defend, rebound and score at all three levels. Off the court, I work just as hard to maintain high grades and staying on top of assignments during the season.  My GPA and SAT scores reflect my attention to school. My basketball skills, IQ, integrity and discipline in working to turn weaknesses into strengths, coupled with my love for the game of basketball, make me a great candidate for your team.
