Braden Smith '22 Recruiting Profile

Obviously I want to play at a high level, what that level will be is yet to be determined.  Right now I work on controlling the controllables.  I pride myself on my work ethic, and quality time spent in the gym working on my skill set.  My dad and mom both played collegiately and were very successful.  My dad set records where he played, my mom was a Miss Basketball, so they have taught me what my work ethic has to look like to play at the highest level I can.  My goal everyday as I step out on the floor is to win every drill, every competition, every loose ball, every rebound battle I’m in.  I’m the type of kid that strives to make others around me better by putting them in positions to be successful when I’m delivering the ball.   One of my personal goals is to break our high school record for assists in a game and in a season.    Through play I make others around me better thus making the teams I’m a part of better, and that is just what I will do for the team I play for in college.  I love the game of basketball, anyone who knows me would tell you that.  When people see me play the first thing they notice is how skilled I am and how hard I play.
