Personal Statement
My name is Abdullah Al-Saloum and I am currently a high school sophomore hoping to pursue a career in college basketball. At the risk of sounding cliche, it would be safe to say that basketball has been the singular most important thing in my life. Like many others, I began playing basketball around the same time I began to walk, but the passion, drive, and commitment I have always felt towards improving my skills are what ultimately set me apart from the average basketball player. Beginning my search for the right school is a step towards what has ultimately been my and my family's goals for as long as I can remember. Throughout this process, I can assure you that I will not waste your time. In addition to the many raw skills I know I can already offer to any program, I approach this process with an open mind. There is nothing more I wish to do during my undergraduate years than continue to hoop, and in doing so, my mind will remain malleable to criticism, and my skills flexible to development.
