Personal Statement
In 5th grade basketball became a vital part of my young life. It has taught me the importance of being a team player, patience, hard work, and attention to detail. Over the last couple of years, I've worked hard to improve my game and become more consistent on the court. I've made many sacrifices, including getting up early before school and after school to train with both college students and active military soldiers. I've gained more knowledge and understanding of the game through my father, coaches, team mates, and other's who became my mentors over the years. Moving every 3 to 4 years due to military has taught me of the sacrifices my father makes. He encourage me to never give up on my dreams of becoming a great player which has carried off the court and into the classroom.
