Personal Statement
What makes me a good candidate for your team? My understanding of the game and ability to be coached makes me a good candidate. I am always ready to learn more and put in the work needed to reach goals and make me a better version of myself. I have spent more than half of my life overseas in Japan and this has given me the opportunity to see the game and the world from a different perspective and style. Going between American and Japanese playing has helped me be flexible and able to accept different points of view. What makes me different from other recruits in character is my ability to work and adapt to any situation or line up. I have a good temper and am passionate about the game of basketball. I will do anything and everything I can to support my team and win. I will always show up for my team and will put in work on and off the court. Even on non-practice days I hit the gym by myself for conditioning. I am a good student maintaining a GPA above a 3.5 while balancing three sports a school year. I have never had detention or any trouble with school, no fights, no disrespect towards anyone. Overall, I strive to be a good person, student, and athlete who has had a wide range of experiences and training from life abroad as a military connected kid.
