I've been playing basketball since Year Nine of highschool. I still remember my first ever points, a mid-range jumper from the top of the key. To think that in the short time I've been playing basketball, I have grown so much as a player. The reason I started playing basketball is a bit cheesy but, I started playing because of a Japanese animation series that I watched, and it got me hooked. Since I started playing basketball, I have learnt of a more aggressive side of myself; at first, I was just hungry to win, but after a while just wanted to win. An obstacle I had to overcome to get to where I am was when I went to Australia to play for the NZ Koru Team. My overall performance wasn't the best, but my coach kept pushing me, and during it, I thought he didn't like me at the time. However, now looking back on it, that moment made me so much stronger, and now I expect all my coaches to push me like that.
