Personal Statement
I recently graduated from Carey Baptist Grammar School in Melbourne, Australia. I am 6’9” barefoot 198lbs and have a 1370 SAT score. I currently play on several basketball teams. My High School team where I was then selected to represent Victoria (my state) in the School Sport Australia National Championships, The Melbourne Tigers Basketball Association where I play Youth League (VYC U23) U20's (Victorian Championship) and train with our NBL1 team (semi-professional). I was also first selected for the State Development Program in 2018, an elite development program run by my State's Governing body for the top 20 players in the State. I was continuously selected for this program until I graduated at the end of 2021.
I have a strong basketball IQ with excellent court vision, passing, and ball handling. Coaches typically compliment me on my potential as a basketball player, as seen by scout Michael Houben: “A uniquely skilled forward, LCB has a fantastic on-ball skill-set, with the ability to handle the ball and shoot jumpers off the dribble..., he's a clear Division 1 talent with plenty of upside.”
I'm an unselfish player and will take on whatever role is asked of me to best my team's chances of winning. People that watch me play compliment me on my versatility, hard-working nature and coachability.
While basketball is a huge part of my life, I realize I’m attending college to get a great education that will prepare me for the next chapter. At this point, I am interested in Kinesiology/Exercise Science, Psychology, Sports Medicine and Neuroscience. As a result, the best fit for me will be a college with high academic standards while also having a strong basketball program.
