Personal Statement
I am a 6’3 shooting guard, but have also played as a small forward. I have started on my high school’s varsity team since my freshman year. I also played on a men’s club team in Baku, Azerbaijan called Dervish, this past year we took third in our league. I have a 3.7 GPA and will take the ACT in the Fall. Playing with the Azerbaijani National team has given me a unique experience because playing with them I have traveled to many former Soviet Union countries such as Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Estonia and Cyprus.
I would like to pursue a University that offers an excellent Secondary Education program. I am very passionate about both basketball and academics, and believe I have what it takes to play at the college level.
