Personal Statement
My name is Amarlie Wilkinson. I am a Year 13 student (senior) at Barking Abbey Academy in London, England and will be graduating in the class of 2024 with an option to reclass to 2025 . I have a 4.0 GPA and have a sat score of 1220.
I am 6’1 and play point guard for my division 1 and EABL team. Some of my proudest accomplishments are my straight A’s I received for my GCSE’s and I was identified as a top 10 player within my age group. This season I have been blessed to play for my England u18 team whilst also being within the selection of GB u18. I have recently received the DPOY reward for my academy league due to my intense defensive prowess. I hold a high iq on the court and take pride in my leadership role over my team, helping guide all my teammates in the right direction to uplift our team. I am a strong, athletic guard with elite finishing skills and great 3-point shot. I am able to create my own shot in the midrange and thrive in transition with my top tier decision making. My dedication off the court is also highlighted as I am constantly focused on how I can improve and better our team. Juggling my studies and basketball has become effortless for me as I hold my education in high regard, averaging an A in all my subjects, thus showing my ability to keep my school work at a high standard whilst dominating on the court.
