Personal Statement
Hi there. My name is Danil, and I’m an international student who currently is studying in Belgrade, Serbia. Since I’ve started playing basketball, I always had a dream about playing in USA. Because it’s a country where the basketball was born. So I always tried to go out of my comfort zone and challenge myself everytime I stepped on the court. At some point I so wanted my dreams to become true that my parents and I decided to send myself into a basketball school in Serbia. But basketball wasn’t the only one dream. I think every international student dreams about getting education in USA. So and I do. Since I remember myself, I’ve always had strict parents who wanted me to succeed in life, in my future career. So because of them I got amazing habits, such as work ethic, purposefulness and perfectionism, which I use in both my basketball career and studying. Talking about education, I’ve reached a lot: I got perfect grades; I was placed on a board of honour in my school; I took place in many competitions in different subjects etc. And I’m not going to slow down any further. Instead, I will work harder everywhere because college is a different place and there’s a huge competition in there.
