Personal Statement
Bill Russel, the basketball legend once said
"Commitment separates those who live their dreams from those who live their lives regretting the opportunities they have squandered”
this is a truth that has motivated me in my life, changing my approach to training and school. I have a determination to succeed and a willingness to work harder than anyone.
My name is Wandile, a South African Basketball player who would like to study Biokinetics in the USA.
My Family friend has his kids over there already on a scholarship so we already know some of the process that it takes to go over and play for a school there.
I will be available for the 22/23 seasons and will be glad to be part of the Fall intake.
I was a the male leader of the school representative council in my school in my two final years of school (2019 and 2020), as well as a respected team leader in Basketball for my school.
I am a committed Christian and I attend church often.
Team for me is really important and I always play my best in important competitions. I do partake in other sports and have lettered in Soccer. I have always been a hard worker and I take practice and training just as seriously as I would with games.
I also took part in track and field.
