Personal Statement
My goal is to make it past college feeling like I've made an impact on my future life. I'm always hearing, "Your early years shape your later years." I want to be able to play to the best of my abilities while still maintaining an educational balance.
I'm different from other student-athletes because of how I started. I started playing basketball much later than my fellow piers which placed me behind all of them in rankings. I worked vigorously to get to the position I'm in now with much support from my coaches and family. I plan my workload by the week in a way that will still keep me in shape while still getting good grades.
I'd always be open to returning the favour, so on top of being an athlete, I also help others become the athlete they dream of. I coach and referee youth basketball in my local city and it's been an extraordinary experience.
I think I'm the best fit for a college athlete because I know what I need.
