Personal Statement
A main focus in my life is to always do the best I can in whatever I do. In 2019 I led my High school basketball team to the Macquarie Cup whole day tournament, unfortunately we lost in the final in an extremely close game. Although we lost the game the tournament showed me what is required of me as a leader on both ends of the court and improving myself as a person. Due to my performance in the tournament, I was selected to play in the state tournament, which unfortunately we were eliminated in the second round of the finals, playing at that high of a level showed me what is required in order to succeed at a high level. Learning the value of leadership, teamwork, hustle and hard work which I stride for in life.
Ultimately, I'm looking for a program that will not only challenge and improve me athletically but also academically, which I consider to be an important part of life. I believe I'm skilled and talented enough to succeed at a college level, but i believe I also have the work-ethic, determination, leadership, drive to win and the willingness to learn and improve. It is because of these I believe I will be a great athlete in your program.
