Personal Statement
I started playing basketball at age 14, the last 3 1/2 years I have been playing as a center. For this upcoming 2024 season, I will be transitioning into playing as a forward.
I am an Albanian-born player looking to become the best basketball player that I can be for my country and myself. My country's basketball support is minimal compared to our neighboring countries and I want to change that. I believe that the adversity I've had to endure has prepared me to be mentally strong. I want to be able to put Albania on the map and raise support for basketball in our country. My sense of nationalism and pride enables me to be a better player and teammate. There is a reason that European players are starting to shine across seas and I believe I have that same potential. I understand that I am not even close to reaching my full potential right now and I am perfectly capable of putting my head down and focusing on development until it is my time.
