Personal Statement
My name is Yohann "Mike" Ouattara, and I am a 17-year-old student currently in my final year at IBSA Abidjan - Riviera 3. I am passionate about basketball and have always been driven by the goal of becoming the best point guard in the NBA. Alongside my basketball ambitions, I have strong aspirations to build a successful business career after/while my athletic journey, aiming to lead a large company and achieve financial success.
I have spent the last several years developing my skills both on the court and in the classroom. At school, I have focused on subjects such as Mathematics, Business, Physical Education, and Philosophy. I have also worked a lot on my personal development, which have helped me develop strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset. My GPA of 3.0 reflects my dedication to balancing my academics with my basketball training, where I constantly push myself to improve. In addition to my studies, I have been actively involved in basketball, working hard on my skills everyday, to ensure I am ready to compete at the highest level.
What excites me about pursuing a college program is the opportunity to grow as both a student and an athlete. I want to join a college basketball team where I can continue to refine my game, contribute to the success of the team, and challenge myself on and off the court. I see that this opportunity can really help me to achieve my goals, that are very ambitious. I believe that the leadership, strategic thinking, and work ethic I develop through basketball will help me in building and leading a successful business once my athletic career has concluded. The combination of my dedication to basketball and my entrepreneurial ambitions makes me a unique athlete.
In conclusion, my commitment to becoming the best point guard and my aspirations as an entrepreneur drive me to excel in everything I do. I am excited about the opportunity to grow, compete, and learn through programs, and I am wishing to contribute to the success of my basketball team.
