Personal Statement
Dear coach,
Let me introduce myself to you.
My name is Rayan Benharouga and I am 17 years old. I am finishing this year my studies at the High School in Management and Marketing.
I live in Grenoble, France and have been playing basketball since the age of 8 years old. This year, I played at the National higher division in France of less than 18 years in Grenoble-baskeball-38 team (GB-38). During the first part of the national tournament (September-December 2019), I was ranked 16th best scorer out of 60 players, with an average of 10.78 points per game. I was also ranked third rebounder in the first phase with an average of 7 rebounds per game.

Because of the COVID-19 outbreak and the quarantine, I could not benefit from the help of agents to be able to make myself known to American universities. That is why I took the initiative to contact you directly without wasting time. I am afraid it’s going to be too late.
I wish to integrate an American university to be able to progress in my basketball practice. I still have a good progression walk and I want to continue my learning in the best basketball system in the world and to become a great professional player.
I’m a hardworking player who doesn’t count his training hours. I do not shy away from difficulties and I learn quickly. I am also a very serious student and very motivated to succeed in my studies.
I am 6-3 higher and I play point guard and shooting guard. I am a very good rebounder and love group play, but I can also develop an individual game. I defend very well on the ball carrier and provide assists with good vision for the game.
