Personal Statement
My name is Marc Kanaan and I aspire to both play basketball at a high level collegiately whilst balancing academics and studies. I currently live in Dubai, UAE, and play U16 boys basketball at both my school (Emirates International School Meadows) and at a club (Champs Academy). I've loved basketball since I was 13 and have worked everyday both on and off the court and in the gym to become a better and stronger player each day. I am constantly motivated by basketball to improve myself and to be the best possible version of myself, constantly putting in max effort to improve aspects of my game. I possess a wide skill set and I see myself as a flexible forward that can pass, finish around the rim, and shoot the ball at a consistent percentage, and a player that can be valuable to any team.
I dream in the future to play basketball at a high level, and I hope that some day that there will be a college out there willing to give me a shot to show of my diverse skill set to them. I also see myself as a very coachable player, as I take in information and instructions quickly and demonstrate them on the court.
