Personal Statement
I am a basketball player living in Dubai, but I am originally from Egypt. My love for basketball is very strong and it has always been my dream to take my game to the next level and play on the college level. I have very good leadership qualities, and I am able to lead and motivate a team. I am very skilled overall in my game, however I lack the experience of playing in high school games and tournaments, and this is because we do not have the same culture and availability of leagues in my region, and this leads to zero exposure to scouts and colleges. I am sure that under the right coaching staff I will improve greatly and become a dominant player, i just lack the exposure and tools to do so. I love to win and it is always my number 1 priority, so I will do everything in my power to make that a reality day in, and day out. I am aware that I'm usually the smallest player on the court, but from the young age of 11, I have regularly trained with much taller players than me, including many 6'8 plus players within my academy of MPAC, so i have grown accustomed to competing at that level. I genuinely believe that I will be able to embody the true meaning of a Student-Athlete, since I do not sacrifice or prioritise one over the other, both are equally important to me, and I make sure to work very hard on both in order to have a balanced life. I want to play professionally in the future and hopefully become an inspiration to the youth of my country, just like one of my idols, Mohamed Salah, who is a massive inspiration for me since he proved to me that anyone can achieve their dreams if they work hard enough.
