Personal Statement
Basketball for me started off as an extra-curricular activity when I was in my final year of primary school (age 12). Getting into high school, I got more interested in pursuing it as a full time sport. My passion for it grew rapidly as I joined the team and in my second year of high school got gold for all the tournaments I attended. By 2016 I was even an MVP at one of the other non-school related tournaments at only 15. The very day I got the award, in it I saw a reflection of my dedication, hardwork and hussle towards this sport.
That's enough about basketball. Academically, I have always been an above average performer and not only that but I find myself able to balance my athletic aspirations with my academics.
Philosophy has always been, for me, not just the study of life and other concepts we factor in to construct what it is we perceive to be reality but, the nature of human knowledge and curiosity. That is why I believe I would be a great fit on the team, because as much as I am all about basketball, there is also this natural instinct of wanting to push more and exceed the limits to truly achieve greatness.
I bring to the team more than just ball handles and shooting skills. I don't doubt that that isn't there, however, with me there's the whole dictating and playmaking tempo that comes with. I am the definition of hussle and hard work. That's what got me my exceptional grades and high quality of play.
Therefore, I would be a great asset to the team.
