Personal Statement
Hi all Coaches! My name is Harrison Valdezate, I am a 6'2 Point Guard/ Shooting Guard from Sydney, Australia. I am highly committed to the game of basketball and constantly working during my off season to perfect my craft. I bring high energy from the tip and I would say I am a big offensive threat, not only through my scoring ability, but my ability to make good passes, and the high IQ decision to help my team as much as I can. I average an efficient 19.4 points per game ( second in the league ) on 47% field goal percentage, alongside making a total of 28 3's in my 14 games...5th most in the competition. I am constantly looking for advice to better my game and consider myself highly coachable, I believe a good trait which I have is the ability to understand coaches and run exactly what they want after being told once. This past weekend (Oct 21st ) the High School basketball season got back underway. Playing Division 1 ( Australian equivalent of the varisty team ) for Oakhill College Castle Hill, in my first game I put up a strong performance with my stats looking like 34 Points, 5 Rebounds and 5 Assists, with an additional 2 Steals. 12 of my points came from 3 pointers as i shot 4/9 from beyond the arc, I look forward to updating my stats each week so coaches can see my consistency on the floor no matter the opponent. November 4th’s game has just ended and I put up a well rounded statline showing my consistency each game i play. I scored 41 points moving my average to 35.3 as well as grabbing 3 rebounds and 3 assists, defensively i finished the game with 1 block and 3 steals proving I can play at both ends of the floor. 15 of my points came from 3’s on 5/10 shooting from beyond the arc
