Personal Statement
Dear Sirs, good afternoon.
I'm writing to you from Kyiv - the capital of Ukraine.
And today I'd like to share with you my thoughts on what I'm dreaming to achieve in the USA in the nearest future.
I am dreaming to combine education with sport on a high university level preferebly in top Divisions ( I and II). This is the smartest way to develop my talent in basketball and reach my academic goals. My main dream and goal from the time I’ve started playing basketball is to study and do sports in the USA because of the high level of education and sports there. I would like to have an opportunity of self-realisation, to grow individually and become a useful member of society. The American colleges give a space for all of this, the time to play the favorite sport on a high level and, at the same time, study and gain the education and orientation in a future profession.
At the same time, at this stage of my life, my number one goal is to reach my full potential academically, by dedicating myself to studies and becoming the best student I can.
I love basketball so much, and play it since I was 10. My team is quite famous in my city of Kyiv and in Ukraine. We always take part in different competitions in Ukraine and Internationally and in 2021 we have won the Ukrainian youth championship of our the 2004 year group.
My biggest passion is basketball. I'm playing at the position of small forward. I like this position very much becuase I have a chance to support my team as a team player and lead the team with scoring goals and advance individually.
I am an optimist and I'm always keep on working on improving my skills and abilities. I'm trying to get a positive response from everything and I'm trying to learn from wins and losses. For sure, I am a team player and I like to bring my value to the team.
I see myself as a very responsible person. My friends tell me that I am open-minded, active, generous. My family tells that I am smart and friendly. I believe that my best qualities are honesty, hardwork, sense of purpose, being active, being friendly, being polite and reliable.
I have a large desire to gain knowledge in one of the best US universities.
I hope that the mix of my International basketball experience and skills, achievements in academics and extracurricular interests will match with the requirements for the athlet that you need for your team roster and the student that fits your university culture.
