My name is Filip Pesek and I am currently (2013/2014) playing the game I love at Cuesta Junior College (current record 14-7). I am a very ambitious player and a student (already NCAA eligible) so I am seeking for a transfer to one of the DI, DII or DIII universities.
As you will see in my videos I am a left-handed (6.3", 2oo lbs.) pass first player and a born leader who is always talking or screaming on both ends of the floor. In my career I have worked with a lot of great and wise coaches and I have always been their right-hand man. This is the role which suits me perfectly, because I am very communicative and I have the right amount of passion for the game. My basketball knowledge and my experiences make me a player that knows when to speed up or slow down the game so if you are looking for a player who will just run up and down and play run and gun I am not the man for you.
In the links on the left you can see my highlights from my last season ( 2012/2013 ) in Europe.
I was born in November 1994 and I came to USA from one of the tiniest countries in Europe called Slovenia where I finished my high school (Gimnazija Sentvid Ljubljana) as a top class student with 3.9 GPA. Furthermore, I have raised my GPA to 4.0 in my first semester at Cuesta and I have finished the fall semester with 13 transferable units. I also took the SAT in November 2012 and achieved 1570 points ( Math:650, Reading:460, Writing:460 ) due to the fact that English is not my native language but my third.
Since U13 I’ve always been a part of Slovenian national team. I played on U16 European championship in Tallinn (Estonia) where I should have played a huge role on the team but then my back injury held me back. In summer 2012 I was also preparing with Slovenian national team for the A Division U18 European championship in Lithuania.
If you think differently than my current coach, who is keeping me on the bench, you can e-mail me anytime you want or call me on (805) 215-4379. I am also available on Skype (filip.pesek94) and on Facebook.
Thank you for your time and hope to see you on the court.
Filip Pesek
