Personal Statement

I have played basketball since the age of 7 and have always wanted to attend College in the USA to complete my education and play basketball.

In September 2017 I left home to attend one of the top basketball academy's in England - Charnwood College (Leicester Riders) for my junior and senior high school years.  I board at this school and live with my teammates and spend 20+ hours a week training on top of my schoolwork so am already adept at managing the life of being a student athlete.

I have played in England's National League for 4 years.  Currently I am playing for Charnwood College in the U18 Premier North Conference.  We have just won the National Cup and are now about to enter Championship playoffs as 5th seed.  In addition, this year our school team made the final of the U17 National Schools competition.  I was also the youngest player selected to play for Charnwood's team that competes in the Englands Men's National League at Division 4. I am also one of 5 players currently being considered for selection to represent England at the FIBA International Schools 3x3 competition this May. 

I am a good student with a GPA of 3.6 and academics are important to me.  I will be taking the SAT in May 2018.
