Personal Statement
I am Ethan Skelton and currently reside in Auckland, New Zealand. I envision my College years to be spent at a quality college where I can pursue a degree in my chosen field, while being part of a great basketball programme.
I first became interested in basketball as a 5 year old at school and have never looked back.
Playing basketball allows me to express my competitive nature while maintaining composure through mental toughness. I have strong ball handling skills, a high basketball IQ and work hard on defence.
I am a leader. I currently captain my high school team and had the privilege of captaining my 2019 club basketball team to winning gold at the Under 17 National Championships, and then to bronze the following year.
I thrive in a team environment, am hard working, and am able to follow the direction and vision of my coaches.
On the court, I plan to be a dynamic player and positive influence on the team. I am committed to maintaining my good grades and most importantly will conduct myself with professionalism and respect in all aspects of the student athlete life. The way I present myself reflects on my school, my team, and my coaches.
