Personal Statement
My name is Okey-Onwuka Nwabugo, I am 18 years old from Nigeria, I graduated from high school/secondary school on the 22nd of July 2023.
As you should already know getting a scholarship from Nigeria is not an easy task but I have big dreams and visions of playing at the professional level in the NBA therefore I ready to take the chance and strive for this scholarship.
I finished high school with 5 a’s, 2 b’s and 2 c’s because I’ve been told by parents to focus on my studies so I try my best to balance it with my basketball time, my parents and my siblings have been very supportive of me in this journey, I work hard and train everyday, I may not be the best you’ve seen but there’s always room for improvement Stephen Curry was the number 7 pick in the 2009 NBA draft, but he turned out being one of the best in the history of the league, I hope I get the chance to improve my play with your program and become the best version of myself.
