Personal Statement
Being ranked #3 in U18 FIBA 3x3 Mexico and winning state tournaments while representing my state in national competitions have been my greatest accomplishment . However, I believe I am capable of achieving more. Growing up in a country where basketball isn't prominent and from one of the smallest states has instilled resilience, discipline, focus, constancy, courage, attitude, and passion for the game within me.
Basketball has taught me that to realize my dreams, I must desire success more than anyone else. I must push through fear and exhaustion, persevering despite challenges, because this is my passion. Additionally, it has underscored the importance of teamwork and trust in my teammates, recognizing that a great player fosters growth both on and off the court.
Throughout my basketball journey, I've encountered and conquered numerous adversities. In my first year of high school, I struggled with confidence, but with countless hours in the rec room and the unwavering support of my family, I began to believe in myself.
Academics hold significant importance for me when considering a program. I aim to graduate with a great GPA and pursue a degree in my chosen field. I seek a program that nurtures both academic excellence and athletic prowess, enabling me to make a substantial impact in college basketball and serve as a role model for my family and players in my country.
