Personal Statement
My name is Nemuel (Nem) Soliven and I am senior from Melbourne Australia, I am a starting point guard for the under 18’s and u23’s Youth team for Waverley Falcons Association and I am also a bench player for the men’s NBL1 team (the feeder league for the NBL).
I’m a 17 year old guard who recently won the under 16 Victorian State Championship MVP (2019); Since I first stepped on the court, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I have strong ball handling skills, am composed, and have a high basketball IQ. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am a part of.
I'm the only 17 year old to play for 2 Men’s teams and a juniors team - under 18’s, Youth u23’s and NBL1 Mens team. Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I enjoy art and English- averaging the highest scores in my school. I want to attend a college where I can both excel in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college at the highest level of competition possible.
