Personal Statement
I am Tom Penkethman and my goal is to play Division II basketball. I am an international player from Melbourne, Australia. I am a hard worker on the court and in the classroom. I consider myself to be a leader, as in my sophomore season I led my basketball team to the win the Victorian state championship. I have played a Power Forward/Centre for most of my junior basketball years, and I am working hard to develop the skillset of a Point Guard/Shooting Guard. My strengths are my rebounding, vertical, defence, speed and physical strength. I am working hard on my perimeter shooting and my ball handling. I am the perfect player to coach, I listen, take everything on board, work hard and I am respectful. I also take pride with my school work. I have always had the mindset of school first, basketball second, and my grades show for it. I will finish my education in Australia and will complete my VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) as well as sitting my SAT's. I want to study Business Administration in the US.
