Personal Statement
My ambition is to pursue basketball as far is it will take me. I have had a thorough basketball education and have constantly looked to improve my game and learn from those who have coached me. I am 6’6” and 198 lb. I am a forward or small forward but can play on the permitter and play at centre. I can defend 5 positions so fit well in switching defences and am familiar with many different offensive structures and set ups. I am comfortable in both handler and screener in pick and roll systems. If the opportunity is there to score I can score the ball, but I am happy to assist others and fulfil my responsibilities cleaning the glass. I put myself on the line for my team and really love that aspect of the game and basketball life.
I am currently completing my final year of high school (in Australia our school year finishes in November). From then until the commencement of the academic year in fall 2020 I intend to work full time at improving my game and strengthening my body. I have sat my SAT (1070) and am confident that I will get my GPA to the necessary level. If I cannot I am determined to go by whatever route it takes to fulfil my ambitions.
