Personal Statement
My name is Jackson Harding from Melbourne, Australia. I currently attend Hazel Glen College (High School in Melbourne). I am a 6’8” shooting guard/wing, with high basketball IQ and decision-making ability, combined with elite shooting. I am able to stretch the floor with my shooting or get to the rim going left or right. I can defend 1 through 5 and use my length to have a defensive impact in the lanes or to block shots. I am a competitive rebounder crashing the glass on both ends.
This year, I was selected to represent my state (Victoria Metro) at the 2021, u/18 Australian National Basketball Championships, where I was as a starter. I have recently been invited to attend the National Performance Camp, with an opportunity to represent Australia at the 2022 u/19 Word Championships. I currently play for the Knox Raiders, where I play in the u/18 Victorian Championship level of the Victorian Junior Basketball League and u/23 Victorian Championship level. With Victoria Championship being the highest level in Victoria for each of the age groups.
I currently have a 3.29 GPA, with an interest in Education, Business and Health fields. I am excited to pursue my athletic dream and further my academic goals at a College program. I would like to be in an environment where I have an opportunity to develop my game and academic goals to the highest level possible.
