Personal Statement
My name is French Biltcliffe and I am a 6’4 Shooting Guard from BWC Academy and Bracknell Cobras Basketball Club. Class of 2023, 2004 born.
I have played to the highest standard of UK basketball available. In the Summer of 2021, my team were crowned champions of the Rising Stars in u18, although at the time I qualified for u16.
For the current 2021/22 season, I have reached the U18’s National cup semi-finals with Bracknell Cobras and going currently undefeated in the U19’s ABL averaging 13.7 ppg, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals a game and shooting 45.44% from the field.
I also have experience playing in men's basketball in the Wessex D1 league and making it to the finals of the Men's, Karl-Taylor cup with Bracknell King Cobras.
I pride myself with the ability to be a positive leader and role model on and off the court, as well as an activator and reliable team member.
I have recently transferred to Bracknell Cobras and have made a successful transition into the team, I have adapted to new styles of play, bonded with new teammates and my basketball IQ has also developed and strengthened from this move.
I participate in all aspects of basketball and I am a Basketball England qualified referee and table official which has also improved my depth of basketball knowledge and IQ.
I am not only looking to move forward in my basketball career but also to move forward academically as well, after I complete my final year of A levels (History, Politics & Business Studies) at Bracknell and Wokingham College in the spring of 2023. I have strong predicted grades of. And will sit a SAT test ASAP.
