My name is Mike Backer, Seventeen years old, six foot six and a professional basketball player in the premier league in the Netherlands U18. The so-called D1/D2 in the US. Been browsing through your website and read that your team is one of the best in the league. This made me feel like a kid in a candy store and the thoughts of me being able to be part of such a great team in the near future make want to go the extra mile and to accomplish my dreams. I hope I can convince you of my basketball skills with this letter. I have been practicing basketball since the age of seven and since the year of twelve, I have been playing basketball in the Dutch Premier League. Basketball is what I live for. A part from the fact that I am a team player I also have strong communicating skills, I am loyal and I work hard. Therefore, I can get the best out of my team and myself. With all that I do I always go the extra mile. I myself am a fast agile player with a good overview of the game, eager to learn so that makes me easy to coach. With this skillset, I can be great asset to the team. In the team, I can play as a 1-2-3-4-5 in every position, as you want me to be. Unfortunately, due to the whole Covid situation we have not been able to play any matches so this is not the most recent footage of me playing. If the option were available, I would love to fly over to your campus and have a practice to show my skills and player mentality. I am now looking at the options of several scholarships, as we do not have the funds to study abroad. Therefore, I would like to ask for your support and I hope this is the way.
