Personal Statement
The invaluable lessons my parents have given me have shaped who I am today: a respectful, polite, and determined teenager. I've always liked sports, so I tried playing basketball in second grade just out of curiosity. Little did I know, I would end up loving this game. I've been super competitive since I was a kid, always wanting to win and be the best at everything. After representing my country many times and playing with my academy or high school team, I've learned—especially from representing my country—that you need to be prepared for these events. You have to be ready to give it your all on the court, no matter the result. I want to keep earning good grades in school because I know that helps with college and scholarships. I communicate with my teammates and always try to set an example, whether it's through my discipline, hustle, or positive attitude. I impact the game with my tenacious perimeter defense, shooting, speed, and passing skills. I know that if I stay focused and enjoy the process, I can play basketball at the next level.
