Personal Statement
My name is Drew Lynett, and I am the redhead of the family!
I am a senior high school basketball player and captain of the team from Australia, attending school on a full scholarship for basketball at King's Christian College on the Gold Coast. My basketball journey has been enriched by playing EYBL with E1T1 in Orlando, Florida, and being invited back to play for the prestigious Loyalty United AAU team, where we won the world championship at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex with an overall record of 60 wins and only one loss. This invaluable experience allowed me to compete against top-tier talent and refine my skills to an elite level.
I average 16 points per game and am ranked among the best in Queensland for 3-point shooting. My versatility in playing both point guard and shooting guard positions enables me to lead the offense, drive to the basket, and hit crucial shots from beyond the arc. My dynamic playmaking, strong court vision, and ability to perform under pressure are testaments to my dedication and love for the game.
The unwavering support of my family has been the cornerstone of my journey. Their encouragement and belief in my abilities have fueled my ambition and resilience, empowering me to pursue my basketball dreams with full determination.
As I look forward to playing college basketball, I am eager to bring my skills, passion, and team-first mentality to your program. My international experience, fierce competitive edge, and strong family support will enable me to make a significant impact both on and off the court. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your team's success, grow as an athlete, and continue leading with intensity and heart.
