Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Chris Rizos and I am a 2026 Point Guard from Rome, Italy. My priority is and always will be academics because being a good student opens doors in life that would normally not be there. In fact, I have a 3.6 GPA out of 4 as a freshman as I try my best to maintain a high GPA for my future. I am a really social person so It's very easy for me to get used to new teams or people however when we are talking about basketball for me it's we put jokes apart and we hard work. In my opinion, hard work beats talent which is why even though I have practice every day I go to a court that is one hour bus away from my house to go work out and do my drills. I have a diary in which I track my everyday work to see improvements and recover on missed days. I always want to work more and more to be the best possible out there. I used to play American Football which I think gives me a very big advantage respect to other athletes in basketball regarding speed and stamina, in fact, I love to play lockdown defense and even though my defender doesn't have the ball I leave him with no breath to even get it. I would love to have the opportunity to play in the U.S. at a college especially because here in Italy this idea is not quite known. So in a few words, I hustle both academically and on the court to be at my best best in both. Not taking me on your team would be a mistake.
