Personal Statement

          Hi, I'm Raph. My goal is to play collegiate basketball. I've been playing basketball since I was 4, started playing competitive ball at 7. I have a relentless drive and love for this game which shows in my work ethic and competitiveness.  I moved to Chile at age 11 which really toughened me up mentally and challenged my love for this game, to push through adversity no matter where I am or who I'm playing for, or who I'm playing against. I've been playing varsity basketball both as a freshman and sophomore. I've also been playing club basketball in a division 2 years older than me, (U18) and have been invited to play for the national U17 Chilean team, but I did not take that opportunity.

             I don't really care how small or big the school is, how good they are, any of that. I'm simply grateful for having an opportunity to play at any D1 school that has expressed interest in me and feels that I would be a good fit for their program. I'm just really hungry to compete anywhere, anytime.
