Personal Statement
My name is Justin Duran Gonzalez. I am a Native American who is also Latino. I was born and raised in New York City, Queens. I now live in the Dominican Republic, pursuing basketball, as It is a sport I'm truly passionate about. What colleges may expect from me is someone who is determined and always wanting to exceed his own expectations. Someone who strives to be the best in the room. A player who is humble though fearless on the court. A player who's aggressive and never afraid. And lastly, a player who's one main goal is to make his mother proud. Many recruits may have the passion for the game the same as I do, though what many don't have is the constant feeling of unsatisfaction. I never feel satisfied as I always want to get better each and every day that I can. While others rest, I push myself to practice day, morning, and night. The player who is always there first at practice, no matter the circumstances. Lastly, the player who never allows setbacks to destroy their momentum.
