Personal Statement

My name is Preston Le Gassick and I am Class of 2022, Point/Shooting Guard from Queensland, Australia. I have a strong desire to play elite college basketball in America. I love to play with pace and with high IQ at both ends of the floor and have included my most recent accomplishments below:

April 2022:

Selected starting PG for U20 Queensland Men's State team at Australian National Championships with Basketball Australia. Played in championships last year and won the tournament - I led the tournament in assists (6.2). Players who played in this tournament and subsequently recruited to the college system in 2021: Reyne Smith (Charleston), Taran Armstrong (CBU), Blake Jones (Mason), Dyson Daniels (G League).

March 2022:

First signed player for NBL1 Men's League (one level below NBL) Gold Coast Rollers - back up PG behind Jason Cadee (Brisbane Bullets NBL player) - also played in 2021 for this team and won "Rookie of the Year".

Sept 2021: 

Captain of my High school Varsity Team (The Southport School) Won the Queensland Schools State Championships and awarded MVP of Tournament. Led team with avg. 25ppg, 9 assists, 6 rebounds. Record 13-0 undefeated season.

I have completed my SAT scoring 1020. Will you be recruiting guards for the 2022 class?
