Personal Statement
My name is Tom Hancock and I am 18 years old, 6’4 Wing/Forward from the Gold Coast, Australia.
I’m currently completing my final year in High School at one of the most prestigious private schools in Queensland, Gold Coast, Australia (The Southport School).
This season in my Varsity team I averaged 15 ppg, 5 assists, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks and 3 steals, while also going 13-0, and undefeated in the 2021 Div 1 CBSQ Championship Schools Tournament crowned State Champions.
I'm a scoring wing/forward with good decision making/passing and pride myself on defence. Can knock down shots from the perimeter at anytime, finish strongly at the rim with both hands and love the physical contact. My most valuable attributes as a player is my competitive spirit, consistent shooting, playing at pace, physical defence/ strong rebounding while playing multiple positions.
I hope to further increase my skill set and knowledge from an opportunity by playing basketball in America. My playing ability along with my studies and leadership opportunities within my current school have put me on a path to achieve this.
