Personal Statement
I have had the dream to play basketball in the NBA since I was eight years old. I started playing when I was eight years old, watching my first NBA game is what made gave me the desire to play basketball. Since I first stepped on the court, I have the desire to pursue and play at the collegiate level. I have secure and strong ball-handling skills, soft hands, and a good basketball IQ. I am keen to learn and be taught more as there is always room for improvement. I am a team leader and try to lead by example whilst also encouraging my teammates. What makes me different from other recruits is that I have a motivationally driven personality, I also stay out of trouble and don't party, I'm more of a 'stay-home-n-get-work-done' student. I am very coachable and I endeavour to be one of the hardest working players on the court and off the court, also on any team that I become part of; I also wish to encourage each and every one of my teammates to become the hardest working player on our team, if one of us works hard, we all work hard.
I have a passion for playing basketball, but also a passion for all things architecture, It is the major I wish to study in University and to prepare for it I have gained experience from working with 3 Architecture firms in my Home Town Norwich, Hudson Architects Norwich, Feilden + Mawson Architects and finally LSI Architects Norwich who I currently still work with. I have worked on a Live project with LSI Architects and have learned how to use AutoCAD to do building manipulations and I also learned how to do Floor Elevations in AutoCAD too,
I simply just love Architecture.
Off the court, I study hard in order to ascertain my high grades. I believe that my academics are most important. Obtaining an outstanding GPA I believe shall open more opportunities for me to play basketball at the collegiate level. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
I want to attend a College/University where I can drive myself to achieve greatness in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and wish to venture in finding the right college/University for me at the highest competition level possible. I want to make my parents and family so proud and to really succeed as a Student-Athlete as I wish to be a great role model to my baby brother and sister and to my peers as others have to me.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little. I look forward to hearing from you.
