Personal Statement
I am determined and hard working both when it comes to basketball and academics. I aim to be successful in both at the same time. My ambition is supported by my family, but it is absolutely self-driven.
I’m calm and collected under stress and I am a true team player, always thinking of and counting on others around me. I am easily adjusted to new environments due to growing up in different places and going to international schools in the Netherlands and United Arab Emirates. My ethnical and cultural background is quite diverse - a mix between the Caribbean, Dutch, Bosnian and Croatian influences, all of which I appreciate and carry in me. The main reason why I would like to join a college basketball team in US is to get a chance to learn from and play with the best and fully develop my own potential. Currently here in UAE, I am maximizing my opportunities as much as I can under limited circumstances, but I strongly believe that joining the right team and having all the right conditions to succeed in a US college is going to help me to fully unfold and thrive as a player and as a person.
